Confident
What does it mean to feel confident? It is a skill? The way you look or what you do? I started with charcoal, it felt strong and self assured. What I learned this week, though, is that Confident is allowing myself to show up on the page with ease. Confident is to trust the process with no idea of the outcome. Confident is to follow my instincts.
The drawings go in order, Days 1-5. Click on the first drawing and you can click through them all.
Day 1. Confident is putting thick lines on paper and then moving on.
Day 2: Confident is tapping into your sense of humor.
Day 3: Confident is painting on top of painting on top of painting until you end up with something beautiful.
Day 4: Confident is letting yourself be the leader, and following yourself without a plan or destination.
Day 5: Confident is showing up as yourself, in all your different styles. Your quirky, lovable self for all to see.
This is the Draw Your Feelings Project.
Next Feeling: Embarrassed
Will you join me? This is a year long project, dedicated to connecting to our feelings and ourselves through our art. Send me your drawings, I’d love to see them!
