Embarrassed
Why was embarrassed so difficult? I hard a hard time with this one, I noticed that almost everything was figurative, and pretty much the same. Usually I can turn a feeling around a bit but this one was stuck in its place. Perhaps some feelings have really strong associations, or else need an additional week to unpack.
The drawings go in order, Days 1-5. Click on the first drawing and you can click through them all.
Day 1. I was trying to capture how we might think we look like when we are embarrassed. Our attempt to fade into the background.
Day 2: Saying something and then realising that you may not have wanted to say it.
Day 3: Wanting to hide but obviously unable to.
Day 4: That cloudy feeling in your head when you can’t remember someone’s name and you are trying to remember and run away at the same time.
Day 5: Ruminating, second guessing, spending all night retracing, wondering if you looked as ridiculous in person as you do in your mind.
This is the Draw Your Feelings Project.
Next Feeling: Proud
Will you join me? This is a year long project, dedicated to connecting to our feelings and ourselves through our art. Send me your drawings, I’d love to see them!
