Relieved
Relief. It’s the end of a heightened state when you can come down, relax and breathe. Relieved feels very personal to me, but in drawing this week I felt a lot of different ways to experience relieved. It feels very introspective, sometimes relief is thinking you want something you really don’t. Sometimes relief is the extension of doing something scary, sometimes it’s a quiet space to sink into things you have accomplished. Sometimes it is the realisation that things have a way of falling into place.
The drawings go in order, Days 1-5. Click on the first drawing and you can click through them all.
Day 1. Relieved feels safe, in a place that is protected, where nothing can interfere or bother me.
Day 2: Relieved can be a a stressful moment passed through. The end of a speech at my public speaking group,
Day 3: Relief is knowing that I know exactly what I need to do, and for once I have actually listened to myself and done it.
Day 4: Relief is the demystification of something unknown or scary, and feeling like you can indeed grasp it.
Day 5: Relief is envisioning your own future and realising that though there may not be certainties, there is always something to learn from.
This is the Draw Your FeelingsProject.

Will you join me? This is a year long project, dedicated to connecting to our feelings and ourselves through our art. Send me your drawings, I’d love to see them!
